Pink transformation/Review: Directions Pastel Pink

I coloured my hair pink and here is a bit of how I did it and a little review as well.

<--- This is what I started of with. In real life my hair was a little brighter (paler) and more to the chestnut-red-brown way.

<--- I then bleached my hair 6-8 levels, the box said something like that. And it became orange. I also cut of the darkest part of my hair which made it a little shorter.

<--- After the bleach I let my hair rest for two weeks before I dyed it with an ash-blond dye, and ended up with honey blond. I did this to take away some of my red and yellow pigments that caused me to become a carrot head.

I also bleach my hair ones more after this but I don't have any photos of me platinum blond. But it was Draco Malfoy-blond. It was hard not to say: "This class is ridiculous" all the time.

<--- (To tired to edit away all zits) After having the pink dye in my hair for four hours I washed off the leftovers and this is what I got.

<--- After a couple of washes and in natural light I got peach pink hair. Which is just what I wanted. Now I just have to fear my hair growing, because it looks ridiculous with my dark blond growth.

Review: I used Directions Pastel Pink Semi-Dye. There is no chemicals in the dye, which I really like since I already teased down my hair with dye and bleach, so it did only leave the colour in my hair. It also means I could have it in my hair for as long as I wanted, I've read recommendations on sleeping with the dye in your hair if you can just to make it last longer.

Since the colour is pale I also had to bleach my hair to platinum blond, that was the hardest part. But so far I really like the colour. It started out really pink and orange in the ends, but after three washes it has turned to a pale peach pink. And just for the record, my hair likes dye, it kind of treats semi-permanently hair dye as permanently, so I just have to wait and see if it will wash away.

I would recommend those who want it to be just pink without the yellow to use the colour Pink Carnation as it don't have as much yellow pigment in it as Pastel Pink. The seller recommended a pot of dye for shoulder length hair, but that doesn't apply to me as my hair is really, really thick, and two pots were just enough for me when my hair was shoulder length. So if you are going to dye your whole hair, buy an extra pot just in case.
Cheezy pose cuz I can. ^^

Review: beauty28888 at ebay.com

A month ago I ordered a pair of false eyelashes on ebay, just because I could. I made it my quest to seek out the cheapest lashes with shipping and ended up with a pair for about 2,50 $ including shipping. A very good price for the lashes.

Here is the sellers own picture of the lashes and they look like the ones I got. Because of the price I wasn't expecting any great false lashes and they have a plastic feel and look, but I can defiantly use them in any diva shoots (to Sheryl Nome among others).

Here is what it looked when I put them on without any other make-up. They were a bit hard and the glue was not the best, but they stayed on for a few hours.

And then I tried them with make-up. Suddenly they fitted my face much better and I got to see a bit more diva of myself.

Summery: The shipping took a bit long, but I was alerted by this of the seller. The lashes were worth their price and I will defiantly have fun with them. The glue that came with the lashes ain't top class, but it will work for photo shoots. I just have to get a better when it is time for conventions.

Review: Charissa-KIDS @ ebay.com

I ordered two wigs from Charissa-KIDS this time and was happily surprised.

First out is the blue wig I ordered so I could style it to Ame-Warashi. It was originally styled for Vocaloid's Miku Hatsune.

The wig is one short base wig and the ponytails are sewn on two big clips that safety sit attach. The base wig also had a long bang so that you could cut it in your own length, as I did for Ame-Warashi.

The colour looks more like in the store's photo as mine are taken with lighting. The quality of the wig was so fine. It is made of Japanese kanekalon fibres and is really thick, many fibres. The clips most have a least at much fibres as the base wig as they were very thick and heavy, even thou you don't feel it when you wear the wig.

The other wig I purchased was a wig styled as Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa RC.

This wig is my way of celebrate myself for 4 year as cosplayer.

But to the wig. It is made of heat resistant fibre and can sustain temperatures up 180-200 degrees Celsius. It is also comfortable to wear and the styling of the wig holds if you turn the wig outside in. The fibres are also fine and easy to cut, as this wig also came with an extra long bang.

Overall: I am really happy with the seller, even thou they didn't say that they had shipped it, ending with me thinking that I wouldn't make the cosplay until the convention. But the shipping was fast and cheap.

The wigs came with hairnet, which I love and are so much more comfortable than nylon knee socks. I also got a wig comb since I purchase two wigs. The wigs were also the most comfortable wigs I have ever worn as they are bigger than the others I have.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. :D

Review: greatarchy09 @ ebay.com

I bought my wig for Usagi Tsukino from the seller greatarchy09 at ebay, which has the ebay store Ayanamisatoru cosplay wig.

I payed extra for shipping with DHL, as there are a cheaper but slower shippingoption. The wig was at my home four days after I payed and it was neatly packaged.

The wig itself was a more yellow than on the stores pitcures, but has three different coloured fibres mixed in the wig which makes it look different depending on the light. The fibres are of japanese kanekanol and are very fine and human hair like. They are even thinner than my own hair, which on the other hand are really thick. There is also an comb at the front.

My only problem so far is that the construction of the wig is making it impossible for me to cover up all of my hair. I can cover it all but then I have to pull from every direction to make it stay, and unfortunately my bobby pins can't make it stay all the time. But since it's only two cm at the back showing I can still have it.

Overall: I like the wig and if I only avoid getting shoot from the back it works fine. It just shows very much since I coloured my hair dark recently. :)

Review: cosplayland @ ebay

My first review and my first shopping on ebay. I bought 3 wigs from seller cosplayland at ebay.com. The wigs were not meant to be mine since I was shopping for my friends, but since I bought them I will give you my review.

Since it was my first time I bought something from ebay I asked the seller how to purchase more than one wig, and I was answered quickly. Then I bought the wigs and from I payed it only took 2 days before I got them.

All the pictures are from the sellers pages.

Red-blond wavy, 65 cm and styled as Matsumoto Rangiku: the wig was just a little redder than on the pictures that the seller had, but on the contrary that made the wig just more Matsumoto-like. My friend had been worried if the wig would fit her, since she has a bigger hatsize, but it fitted like a glove.

Flat, 30 cm long and in 15 colours: bought in colour D and L. D (silver grey) was not as shiny as the picture shows and L (grey) had a tint of blue which made my friends day.

Overall impression of the wigs
: the quality of the wigs was great. The fibres were of japanese kanelon (which made them look more as human hair) and heatresisted. The pictures of the wigs were accrued in how they were styled (wavy and flat) and the length.

Overall impression of the seller: the wigs were exactly what we were looking for and the feedback great. Cosplayland was glad to answer any question I had, no matter how silly. I will definitely return in my search for more wigs in the future.

Shopping at Mangani.se

Somehow I went shopping at Mangani.se, and look what I got: at Konoha-forehandprotector. Not that I really know what to do with it. I´m not planning any Naruto-cosplay.

Then I saw this lovely frogpure and had a sudden want. Now I´m just waiting for them to show up in the mailbox.
